Unser Flug rüber nach Vegas war leider total verspätet, weil es an Strom fehlte und die Triebwerke deshalb nicht zu starten waren. Nach etlichen Versuchen mit irgendwelchen obskuren Überbrückungsgerätschaften (der Pilot war so nett, dass mitzuteilen) sind wir dann mit ner Stunde Verspätung und ohne Vertrauen in das Flugzeug gestartet. In Vegas dann den Mietwagen abgeholt, mehr oder weniger gut die Einfahrt in die Tiefgarage vom Luxor gefunden und eingecheckt. Soweit, so gut. Ungefähr 45 Grad Celsius, und selbst ein Luftzug war wie unterm Fön. So ne Stadt in der Wüste ist was Tolles!
The day of heading west. Took the plane to Las Vegas from Chicago. Everything was fine until we were suppost to start. One of the engines didn't want to start, so they needed assistance. During take off, the lights and the air condition went off. That made us a little nervus. And this caused a big delay, because they had to wait a while. But you can tell, we touched the ground save :-) Then the usual procedure, catching suitcases (now we have three of them) and getting the rental car. We have almost the same one now, but this time it's black.
In Las Vegas it is very hot ( 113°F / 45°C). Puh. Checking in the hotel and going up in the pyramid. Just put the suitcases down and headed to the strip. Those hotels / casionos are amazing. Huge!!! And confusing. Because if you see EXIT signs, they are everywhere and there is now way finding out of the casionos. We walked through a lot of casinos, like Excalibur, Luxor, New York New York, MGM, .... Got to bed by 3 am the next day. We were very tired and had sore feet.
